Library
GIT library has a huge collection of text books, reference books and course manuals of all related programs. It subscribes to various newspapers, magazines, national journals and International journals. The newly published books are regularly added in the library. The library provides books to students under the book bank system and regular renewing system.
Chemistry Lab
Designed to serve the educational needs of students, faculty, and staff, the lab offers state-of-the-art facilities and equipment essential for both academic and research purposes. The lab is equipped with advanced analytical instruments, including spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and titration setups, allowing users to conduct a wide range of chemical analyses and experiments. Safety is a top priority, and the lab adheres to strict safety protocols, providing personal protective equipment and training for all users.
Physics and Electrical Lab
The Physics and Electrical Lab enhances learning through hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology. Serving students, faculty, and staff, the lab offers modern equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and multimeters. Users can conduct experiments in mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, and electronics. Safety is a priority, with proper training and protective gear provided.
Computer Lab
The purpose of the Computer Lab is to enhance the learning experience for its users (currently enrolled students, faculty and staff) through innovative and effective use of technology. The mission of the lab is to create an environment that supports the educational pursuits and a wide variety of professional and personal needs of its users. To ensure that these goals are met, the lab provides quality state-of-the-art software and hardware resources.
Currently there are thirty computers in the laboratory. Laboratory has 24 hours email/internet access through high speed leased line. Hours of operation of these labs vary to accommodate the needs of students and faculty/staff.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Extra-curricular Department conducts extra curricular activities for the college. The department encourages students to actively participate in a variety of extra curricular activities, in order to give them valuable experience that will help them when starting their careers. The department helps students make social clubs, debate competitions, speech competitions, college tours, field visits etc. These activities supplement and consolidate what students learn in class, while also improving their abilities to engage in future planning and enhance their leadership roles and participation.
Transportation
College provides transportation facility to and from the college to it’s students within the Kathmandu valley. Please refer to Transportation Route section for more information on the pickup and drop off routes.
Cafeteria
The college is planning to make beautiful garden cafeteria situated at the roofs of building with a panoramic view of Kathmandu. The college cafeteria will provide breakfast & lunch for students & staffs. Full cafeteria service, including hot food entrees, sandwiches, salads, snacks and drinks, are available at reasonable price. It also provides on campus catering services. The cafeteria remains open during the college hours.
Evaluation and Grading
Purbanchal University has adopted internationally recognized evaluation and grading system. Student’s performance is evaluated in two phases-internally by the concerned subject teacher and externally by the office of the controller of examination through semester examinations. Students must obtain 40% in the internal assessment and 40% in the semester examination to secure a pass marks.
Students must pass the internal examination to appear in the final examination. Each student’s performance in a subject is evaluated by the concerned faculty member through attendance, tutorial, lab works and assignments and by the college through unit tests and assessments.
