The geomatic engineering program was established in 2004 AD. The program has been carefully designed to meet all of the requirements of the students and has been accredited by Purbanchal University.Geomatic engineering at GIT is the first program within the South Asia that offers an engineering degree which satisfies the needs of today’s land surveyors and geospatial specialists.

The GIT is focused on providing a high quality of education to its students through a combination of academics, professionalism, public speaking, teamwork and ethics. All of the GIT faulty members are also members of various professional geomatics engineering organizations and active in research through projects supported by Nepal Government, private consulting firm and INGO funding sources that include the involvement of many of our graduate students.

As the chairperson of this college I feel very proud of our students, faculty and staff. They have accomplished a lot and are poised to successfully face any new challenges that lay ahead.
