Welcome to GIT!

Technical education is the need of the day, patching the development of new and old technologies. We have a mix of highly qualified dynamic, young, experienced, full time and visiting faculty to cater for the Bachelor of Geomatic engineering programs offered at GIT.

In the classroom and laboratories, you will be exposed to ideas and methods across a variety of disciplines, apply criticize and communicate these, is a major part of our academic task. This is both challenging and rewarding and there is considerable support to help you succeed in new studies. Lecturers and other academic support to help personnel of the college are all approachable and will work to help you take full advantage of what GIT offers.

In addition to academics, GIT will provide opportunity for you to become involved in social and cultural events, community activity and governance. The experiences will enable you to develop your skill as a citizen, a leader and further prepare you for the future challenges as an Engineering graduate. I encourage you to participate fully in college life, learn how to evaluate and challenge ideas, to construct persuasive arguments for your point of view and to solve problems both theoretically and practically. Take advantage of this time to learn in depth and explore fully the opportunities that will emerge. The combined effort of management, faculty and students will make this college a success.
